Divine Acceleration

Doors that open before you even press the button. That’s the kind of moment we’re unpacking—how divine acceleration feels in real time, why timing redeems old ideas, and how to carry rapid change without burning out or shrinking back.

We start with a personal pivot: moving from a thriving salon to a calling as an author, coach, mentor, and minister after a life‑altering diagnosis. That story sets the frame for this season of open doors, where ideas converge, new assignments stack, and opportunities arrive unannounced. We connect those experiences to Amos 9:13—the plowman overtaking the reaper—as a picture of collapsed timelines, then explore what it means when God delivers months’ worth of momentum in a few days. Expect language that’s honest about the speed and clear about the source.

To keep it grounded, we bring in behavior science. Rapid change, even good change, can trigger the nervous system’s threat response, which is why blessings sometimes feel like alarms. We share simple tools to regulate and receive: prayer that anchors truth, breathwork that calms your body, and journaling that turns swirl into decisions. You’ll hear practical readiness moves, too—how to build a small “open‑door kit,” prepare assets before the invitation lands, and shift your language from “it’s too fast” to “Lord, strengthen me to steward this.” No striving, no hustle‑gloss—just faith, clarity, and smart structure.

If you’re sensing acceleration—unexpected connections, fresh creativity, assignments that find you—this conversation offers both theology and tactics. You’ll walk away with questions to discern alignment, steps to widen your capacity, and a reminder that your story is someone else’s blueprint. If this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs courage for their next “open door,” and leave us a review with one takeaway you’re acting on this week.

CoachTara:

Hey hey, it's your favorite shift your story coach, Coach Tara, and you're listening to the Her Authentic Voice Podcast. This is where faith meets real life, where shame gets silenced, and where your story becomes your strategy. If you haven't subscribed yet, go ahead and hit that button so you'll never miss an episode. Today we're talking about divine acceleration. When God moves quickly. Have you noticed how quickly things are moving in this season? I mean, really, things are moving rapidly. Connections are happening suddenly. Doors are opening that you didn't even knock on. Ideas are bearing fruit before you even had a time to sit with them. That's what divine acceleration looks like. Is that happening for you? It's definitely happening for me. Even things that I tried to do in the past that didn't work. I didn't understand why they didn't work, but they didn't work. Things I launched, they flopped, but I learned from the flopping. Learn, you know, what not to do. But also some things I did were totally right. But the timing was off. Remember when we talked about the metamorphosis and changing and the butterflies and the wings being wet and not yet ready to fly. So some things that I tried, it's not that they were wrong. A lot of it had to do with timing. But I've noticed that things have sped up. When I say doors are opening that I didn't even knock on, they are. Is that happening for you? Ideas that are just flowing. It's really interesting, but it's timing. Timing is a thing, you know? So I'm creating at a level and a pace that I have never done in the past. The Lord has me doing multiple things, and seemingly they don't connect or even make sense for me. At least what I thought I would be doing. You know, I had an idea, but I had an idea in the past too, right? When I was doing hair and I'm thinking I'm gonna do hair for the foreseeable future for the rest of my life. I loved it. And then when I battled breast cancer and the Lord said, Close your salon, it was like, huh, he shifted me in 2017 from a hairstylist and salon owner to an author and publisher and coach and mentor and minister, he changed my life. Now he's doing it again. He's not removing, he's adding. So when I say these ideas are flowing, and I'm just putting things out, I'm putting things together, and I'm wondering: is that happening for you? Are things moving quickly for you in this season? I remember a trip to Erie, Pennsylvania. It was a church trip. And we were staying in a hotel. I went to the lobby for something. I I can't recall what I went to the lobby for, but this is why I tell this story. When I went, I walked to the elevator, right? And I reached my finger out to push the button. And right before I could push the button, the elevator doors just opened up. And I looked, I looked, I peeked in, like, hello. And then I just went in. I said, Well, thank you, Lord. Amen. You know, okay, season of open doors, you know, and it happened again. It happened again. Another time at that same hotel. And I was like, huh. And I said it to the ladies I was sharing a room with, and they're like, Really? I'm like, Yeah. And they they said that that didn't happen for them. So I knew that the Lord was showing me something. Now, this happened years ago, but I was reminded of it. So even though it happened then, I'm in that season right now. Because you know, with prophecy, we we can receive words, we can have experiences, but it doesn't mean it's gonna happen right then and there. I'm currently in a season of open doors. Currently in this accelerated season, divine acceleration. And I and I want you to sit and think about if you are, are you? Amos 9.13 speaks about the plowman, right? He's it says to behold, the days are coming when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, right? In other words, God can collapse timelines, y'all. I don't know if you are like a Marvel head, like I like Marvel, I like Loki. I watched Loki on Disney, and it talked about these timelines, and the timeline was collapsing, and and I thought about that. You know, like all these separate things are happening at once. Because with the Lord, he's he exists outside of time. So for us, we have this man-made construct of time, you know, it's this three o'clock, and then six o'clock, and but no, for him, the past, the present, and the future, it's all one. He sees everything. So, what would normally take years, the Lord can do in months, he can do in days. When I tell you guys, in three days, I if you saw what I did in three days, like two weeks ago, it was supernatural. There's no way unless the Lord had his stamp of approval on it. That's what he's doing. He is collapsing timelines, he is moving things in a faster pace. You know, he can shift something in your life overnight. You can say, Oh Lord, it's just it's it's impossible. I don't know how. And I can say, don't say those words, they sound negative, but I mean it's real. Sometimes things do look impossible. But what I'm saying is, with God, all things are possible. With man, things are impossible, but with him, all things are possible. You know, I gotta throw a little behavior science insight in here, right? So here's what happens on the human side of our brain. So our brains are wired for predictability, right? So rapid change, you hear me snapping? Rapid change, even good change, can feel overwhelming because the nervous system it interprets it as a threat. So it's like, wait, wait, what's going on here? You know, but that's why acceleration feels exciting, but it also feels scary. Because you're like, wait, what is going on here? So I was excited when I was I was producing, and I'm like, wow. But then I paused and I was like, wow, what's happening? Lord, what are you doing in my life? Because I just keep giving him a yes, right? So I don't necessarily know what's coming around the corner. He shows me a little, he tells me a little, and I step out on faith. But I know one thing about the Lord. When you open your mouth, he'll feel it. When you take that step, he'll take several. So you must move by faith in that sight. So yes, acceleration is exciting. Yes, it's also scary. But when you regulate your nervous system through prayer, through breathing, through journaling, and through just staying in the truth, like anchoring yourself in what's true, you literally will create the capacity to hold what God is releasing quickly. See, I'm holding it. Even though I felt that excitement and felt the fear, not bad fear, but that I'll say scary. But it felt good. It was a good scary. It was uh it was anticipation, like, whoa, I don't know what this is. Well, I don't know what this is, but I still want to I want to keep going. But because I'm rooted in prayer, I do a lot of deep breathing. I am an advocate for deep breathing because it will regulate your nervous system quickly. So it'll help you, it'll help you create stability inside of you, it'll help create a calmness that you can receive, that you don't have anxiety, you know, about what's going on. You can just rest. Rest. So I want to ask you, where has God accelerated something in your life? Do you discern it? Do you discern the new that is taking place? And then I want you to reflect and ask yourself, am I panicking at what's going on? Is it moving too fast? Am I excited? Am I aligned? Am I ready? So that's another thing. You know how we say stay ready so you don't have to get ready. Let me tell you, those three days, I found out that yeah, I was ready in some areas, but baby, it was something that I said, now Tara, you know you should have had this done already. You know it. And I had to say that to myself because I knew it, but I didn't. You know, so I found myself playing catch up. So I say to you, prepare, prepare, because the Lord can move swiftly. He has a call on your life, you have assignments, it's on your mind, you know what to do. You're waiting for the plan, it doesn't work that way. He'll give you a little bit, but you prepare for where you're going. Because you'll have the vision, even if you don't have all the steps, you know where you're going. I have the vision. So prepare for where you're going. And then I want you to shift the way you look at it. Don't be like, oh Lord, this is moving too fast. Say things like Lord, strengthen me. Strengthen me to steward what you've accelerated in my life. Strengthen me to steward this call that you've placed on my life. Amen. It's not about striving, right? It's not about being out here working harder and harder. It's about resting in him, it's about working smarter, it's about trusting God's speed because he knows the plans that he has for you, right? Amen. All right. So I pray that something said today spoke to you. And if it did, share it. Share it with someone. Leave me a comment, a question, reach out. And don't forget to subscribe, okay? Many blessings to you. And I want you to remember that your story is the blueprint for someone else's breakthrough. Okay? And you remember to live, love, and be authentic, all right? Is that all right? All right. See you next week.
